Artist and water-baby Michelle Douglas has long been a lover of the sea and water sports. Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Michelle began painting professionally in October, 2010. Her passion leads her to express the magnificent beauty of God’s creation and the awe of the ocean in paintings about surf, perfect waves and ocean life.
The self-taught artist uses oils and other mediums to bring life to her inspiring dreams.
Working out of her art studio in the beautiful town of Kommetjie, Michelle is constantly driven to create new and beautiful paintings. When she isn’t painting, she lets the love of the aquatic world be an inspirational source for guiding paint onto canvas through the photographs she takes along the way.
